Screen walkthrough with loading delay
Remove idle progress bars and waiting while keeping the click that started the action and the result that followed.
Review: Verify the viewer has enough time to read notification dialogs.
You’ve recorded the walkthrough or tutorial in OBS. Bring the saved file into Cubix to shorten idle waiting, review captions, and keep the explanation aligned with on-screen actions.

One recording. An edit you can refine.
Illustrative editing brief
“Shorten the loading delay in this recorded OBS walkthrough. Keep the full menu selection and each spoken instruction together. Add clean captions for review.”

Cubix edits saved video files. It does not connect to OBS, capture live streams or import scene collections.
Trim loading delays while preserving the relationship between screen action, mouse clicks and narration.
Inspect screen text, audio sync and complete demonstration steps in the exported file before publishing.

Prepare your recording
Check the format and codecs selected for your OBS recording. If an MKV needs an MP4 container, use File > Remux Recordings in OBS. Remuxing copies the encoded streams without re-encoding; it does not change incompatible codecs or guarantee import. Keep the original and test a short recording from your setup first. Never rename .mkv to .mp4 as a conversion.
OBS remux changes the container while preserving the encoded video and audio.
Browser editing requires supported formats; test a short clip from your setup.
Remuxing cannot repair corrupted frames or codec incompatibilities.
Choose the edit
Start with a saved OBS recording on disk. Choose the editing pass that helps viewers follow your screen actions.

The editing workflow
Finish recording in OBS and preserve the original. If an MP4 container is needed, use File > Remux Recordings. Check playback and the audio you need before editing.
Upload your file to Cubix. Request focused trims for idle stretches, proofread technical terms in captions, and inspect the timeline.
Export the finished video and play the file at normal speed to verify screen legibility and audio alignment.
Quality verification
Trimming screen recordings requires keeping speech and visual actions aligned. Inspect cut boundaries so clicks and spoken explanations stay together.
Small interface buttons, menus and terminal text remain sharp at target resolution.
Spoken commentary lines up with cursor clicks and window changes throughout.
No essential parameter or confirmation dialog is accidentally trimmed.
Illustrative editing request
“Shorten the loading delay in this recorded OBS walkthrough. Keep the full menu selection and each spoken instruction together. Add clean captions for review.”
An illustrative brief to adapt. Trimming is not automated perfection; inspect every edit boundary on the timeline.
Do not assume native MKV import works for your recording. If you need an MP4 container, use File > Remux Recordings in OBS, keep the original and check the result. Remuxing preserves the encoded streams; it does not change incompatible codecs or guarantee import. Test a short recording from your setup first.
OBS supports recording multiple audio tracks. That does not establish independent track editing in Cubix. Test a short recording with your intended audio setup and confirm the narration and system sound you need are present in playback and the exported file.
Use framing tools deliberately and review screen legibility after each crop. Do not rely on automatic cursor tracking or redaction of private information. Review the downloaded file before sharing.
This workflow starts with a saved recording. It does not connect to OBS, ingest a live stream or import OBS scene collections. Record in OBS first, then evaluate the saved file in Cubix.
