Start with an actual recorded customer statement
These are candidate requests for the Cubix AI video editor: adapt them to your available footage and review the result. They are instructional examples, not tested recipes. Use footage you have permission to publish. Select one point the customer makes in their own words. Check the preceding question and following explanation before deciding what can be shortened.
Keep the limits of the statement intact
A qualification such as “for our small team” belongs with the statement it limits. Ask for that context to remain, then compare the result with the source. Providing an instruction is not proof that the edit preserved the speaker's meaning.
Requests to focus a point and tighten its pacing
Have the complete answer available and identify the passage you want to edit.
- First request: Replace [specific point the speaker actually makes] with a point supported by the recording. Review the preceding question, selected answer and following qualification together.
Replace [identified passage] with actual source words or a clearly located section. Listen across each changed join and compare the delivery with the original.
Requests for captions and a missing qualification
For caption corrections, open Text → Subtitles → Review every subtitle, then check the words and timing against the recording. Have the correct spellings and original qualifying phrase available before requesting a correction.
- First request: Replace [actual name] and [actual product] with the real spellings. Check every relevant subtitle and any spoken numbers against the recording; the prompt does not verify them for you.
Replace [exact source words] with the affected passage and [actual qualification] with the customer's recorded phrase. Confirm the source contains it, then compare the complete statement. Undo or return to source if the correction cannot restore it.
Fictional example: keep “for our small team”
In this fictional transcript, a customer says, “The dashboard is easier to review for our small team, but we have not used it across departments.” Keeping only “The dashboard is easier to review” removes the scope and limitation. Keep both qualifications with the statement. This is an editing illustration with no claimed Cubix customer or measured result.
Compare source, edit and captions
Watch the complete answer and edited passage with sound before sharing.
- Keep the question or explanation needed to understand the answer.
- Verify names, products, numbers and qualifications in subtitles.
- Listen for complete words and natural pauses at joins.
- Check framing and caption clearance.
- Review the exported video and obtain the customer's sign-off before publishing.
✖ Removing a qualification to make the statement shorter.
Why it fails: The shortened answer can imply a broader experience than the customer described.
✔ Better approach: Keep the condition with the statement and compare the result to the full source.
✖ Combining phrases into a different claim.
Why it fails: The final sentence may no longer represent what the speaker said.
✔ Better approach: Use a continuous supported passage and review the surrounding context.
✖ Accepting proper names without checking captions.
Why it fails: A spelling error can change a name or product reference.
✔ Better approach: Review subtitle text against the recording and supplied spellings.
