How to convert CSV or TSV to JSON
- Paste or upload your CSV/TSV and choose its delimiter and whether the first row contains headers.
- Review the rows. Keep values as strings to preserve IDs such as 00123; type inference is optional. Resolve duplicate/blank headers and uneven rows before downloading.
- Copy or download valid JSON. Headerless input produces arrays of values instead of objects.
Quoted delimiters, multiline fields and escaped quotes are supported. A file with parsing/header errors does not produce downloadable JSON until corrected.
Input is sent to Cubix's server for processing. The input limit is 2 MiB. Use sample data when trying the tool.

Why are my numbers strings in the JSON?
By default every value stays a string so data like ZIP codes and IDs with leading zeros (00123) is never changed. Turn on "Infer numbers & booleans" to type whole columns that are entirely numbers or true/false.
How does type inference decide?
It decides per column. A column becomes a number only if every non-empty value is a JSON number that can be represented exactly; integers beyond 2^53 stay strings so they don't lose precision.
What if my headers are blank or duplicated?
The JSON is blocked until every column has a unique, non-blank name. Rename the headers in the panel, or use Suggest names — no data is dropped.
Does it handle commas and line breaks inside values?
Yes. Quoted fields can contain delimiters, line breaks, and escaped double quotes (""), following RFC 4180.
