IP-based geolocation typically identifies the city or region of the ISP that assigned the address, not an exact street address. Accuracy varies by provider and region.
What are the 'server IP' fields for?

How do I check whether my VPN is actually working?
Load this page with the VPN off and note the IP, city, and ISP. Turn the VPN on, click Detect My IP again, and compare. If the address and ISP now belong to your VPN provider instead of your home internet provider, the tunnel is working.
Can you find someone's exact home address from an IP address?
No, and any tool claiming otherwise is misleading you. IP geolocation resolves to the city or region of the network that assigned the address. Precise subscriber details are held by the ISP and are only released to law enforcement through a legal process.
What's the difference between a public and a private IP address?
Your public IP is the single address the internet sees for your whole network, and that's the one this tool detects. Private IPs (like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x) are assigned by your router to each device inside your home or office and are not reachable or lookupable from the internet.
Why does the lookup show a different city than where I actually am?
Geolocation maps the IP to wherever your ISP registered that block of addresses, which is often a regional hub rather than your town. Mobile networks, VPNs, and corporate connections routinely report a city hundreds of miles away. That's expected, not an error.
How do I find the IP address of a website?
Look up the site's IP from your terminal first with a ping or dig command, then paste the resulting IPv4 address here to see its hosting location and provider. That tells you which data center or CDN is serving the site.
