Must start with http:// or https://.

Higher error correction survives damage better but makes a denser code. The standard quiet zone is 4 modules.

How to generate a static QR code

  1. Enter an HTTP(S) URL, or choose Plain text to encode text directly.
  2. Choose an image size and high-contrast colors. Keep the default four-module quiet zone and review density/contrast warnings.
  3. Download PNG or SVG. Scan the actual exported image before printing or publishing it.

The code contains the supplied value directly. Changing a destination requires a new code; an external destination can stop working later. Dense or low-contrast images may be hard to scan.

Your URL or text is sent to Cubix's server to generate the code. Use sample data when trying the tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a static or dynamic QR code?

Static. The code contains your URL or text directly, without a Cubix redirect. To change the destination you must generate and distribute a new image.

Which error correction level should I use?

M (about 15% recovery) is a good default. Use Q or H if the code may be damaged or partly covered; higher levels make the code denser.

Why does the tool warn about my colors?

Scanners need strong contrast. The tool warns below a 4.5:1 contrast ratio and when the foreground is lighter than the background (an inverted code), which some scanners can't read.

What is the quiet zone?

The empty margin around the code, measured in modules. The standard is 4 modules; smaller margins may stop some scanners from reading the code.

Is the QR code generator free?

Yes. Generate and download static QR codes as PNG or SVG for free, with no signup and no watermark.
