What is AI video reframing?
AI video reframing adapts existing footage from one aspect ratio to another — most often horizontal video to vertical — while trying to keep the important subject in frame. Cubix Reframe is that format pass: Fit keeps the whole shot, Fill crops to cover the canvas, and Auto-reframe can follow the speaker as they move, especially when you are converting to 9:16.
A center crop is not a vertical video.
A 16:9 talking-head dropped into 9:16 often puts the speaker off to one side, cuts off hands, or leaves empty wall in the middle of a phone screen. Doing it properly means choosing how the shot fills the new frame, and — when the person moves — letting the crop follow them. Reframe is that pass. Captions, hooks, and clip selection live on other pages.
Fit
Keeps the entire shot and pads the sides. Nothing is cropped away.
Fill
Crops so the footage covers the whole frame. Use this when letterboxing is the problem.

How to reframe a video for vertical with AI
