What this does
Imports your raw video, audio, and image assets directly into Cubix's high-speed cloud timeline.
Video, audio and image files are all supported, including the .m4a audio that phones and voice recorders produce. You can also import an .srt subtitle file if you already have one. Uploads sit in your Media panel alongside the built-in stock video and image libraries.

Let it read your footage
While you are still deciding what the video should be, Cubix is transcribing the speech and reading the picture. That is what makes a later request like 'cut everything before I introduce myself' resolve to a real timestamp instead of a guess. You do not have to wait for it to finish before you start working.
Add media to the timeline
Click any asset to place it on the timeline, or ask Cubix to assemble them for you. If you name several clips in one request they can be added in order in a single step, with each one cropped to the part you want.
Upload more than you think you need
Bring in the B-roll, the second take and the screenshots at the same time as the main footage. Having them in the project costs nothing until you use them, and you can refer to any of them by filename later.
Pro Tips for Best Results
- Give your files meaningful names before uploading. 'interview-wide.mp4' is much easier to refer to in a request than 'IMG_4471.mp4'.
- Higher-resolution source footage gives you room to crop and punch in later — a 4K recording survives a vertical crop plus a zoom far better than a 1080p one.
- Storage counts what you are keeping, not what you have ever uploaded, so clearing out finished projects frees the space immediately.
- If an upload stalls, a browser adblocker or VPN is the usual cause — both can interrupt a large transfer mid-way.
- No footage for a section? The Media panel carries stock video and image libraries you can search, and you can generate an image or a short clip from a description instead.
- Audio-only uploads work too, which is how you bring in a separately recorded microphone track or a music bed you already own.
Your uploads are never modified. Every edit is stored as instructions against the timeline, so the original files stay exactly as you sent them until you export.
