What this does
Conversational editing is iterative by design. When a result is close but not right, describing the correction is faster than undoing a good edit to fix one detail inside it.
'Make it less shaky' tunes what is already applied. 'Add the shake again' applies a second layer on top of the first. The phrasing difference is small and the outcome difference is large — a re-run doubles effects rather than intensifying them.
How to do it
Follow these step-by-step instructions in Cubix.
Review the applied edit
Play back the section Cubix changed and work out specifically what is wrong with it — too strong, too early, the wrong clip, the wrong word.
Describe the gap, not the original request
Saying what is wrong with the result works better than repeating the instruction that produced it. 'The zoom is a beat late' gives Cubix something to act on; asking for the zoom again just repeats a request that already missed.
Everything else stays
A targeted correction changes what you named and leaves the rest of your edit untouched, so there is no cost to fixing one detail in an otherwise good result.
Undo instead when the whole thing missed
If a reply went in the wrong direction entirely, undo is the cleaner move — everything from that reply comes back in one press.
Pro Tips for Best Results
- Point at the moment the same way you would to a person: by timestamp, or by what you said there.
- Passes applied from the quick edit rail can be adjusted from their own card, or removed with their own Revert, without touching anything else.
- You can always click an element on the canvas to drag, scale or adjust it by hand instead.
- If you are three or four corrections deep on the same element, it is usually faster to describe the finished state you want than to keep nudging it.
Treat the first result as a draft rather than a verdict. Conversational editing is built around the expectation that you will refine it, which is why a correction costs one sentence instead of a rebuild.
