What is a pacing-and-emphasis video workflow?

It tightens a spoken take and marks the lines that carry the point — cuts, punch-ins, sound hits, a short opening hook, and captions — then leaves every edit on the timeline. Cubix Maximum Retention is that workflow in the editor. Creator Polish is the same finishing engine as a dedicated talking-head intake. Neither promises that viewers will stay.

What Maximum Retention actually applies

  1. 01

    Smart cuts

    Removes silences, dead air, breaths, and hard fillers from word timings. Can also drop false starts, preamble, and tangents. Held shots is Tight, Balanced, or Roomy — default Balanced.

    Punch-ins on key sections

    Tighter framing on the lines that carry the point. Intensity is Subtle, Medium, or Strong — default Subtle. If no key words are found, framing can change at cuts instead.

    Sound hits

    Short stingers on those same emphasis words, mixed under speech. On by default, with a level slider.

    Opening hook

    A short text overlay from the transcript, at the top of the frame for the opening seconds. You can edit the line and colour after it lands.

    Word-timed captions

    Karaoke captions with a filled box on the spoken word. Box colour and size are on the card. This is not a separate Auto Captions run you have to start first.

    Leaves the result editable

    Every stage is a normal timeline edit. Revert restores the starting timeline and captions. It does not grade colour, add B-roll, or clean audio.

    Open an edit with speech

    A talking-head or spoken take already on the timeline. This pass is in-editor. New camera-facing intake is Creator Polish.

    Run Maximum Retention

    Cubix tightens the take, then adds punch-ins, sound hits, an opening hook, and word-timed captions.

  3. 3

    Tune the finish

    Change Held shots, punch-ins, sound hits, the hook line, and captions on the Magic Edits card. Revert undoes the pass. The editing agent can run it; those rows live on the card.

How much of a long silence survives. Default is Balanced.

Punch-ins

How far key-section framing pushes. Default is Subtle.

Tight is talking-head dead air. Roomy keeps more of a held shot — useful on vlog and B-roll. Changing Held shots re-cuts from the original take.
