List your source footage and claims
Record each filename, the product action it shows, the actual spoken claim and any qualification. Use recordings you can publish and note which passage supports each planned message. The requests below are instructional examples to adapt to your available footage, not tested recipes. Upload the source first, replace the placeholders, and review every change. The editing CTA opens editor Home; copy the request into your project after setup.
Plan versions the recording actually supports
Give each version one clear message. A different opening is useful only if it exists in the recording and still fits the demonstration. If the source supports one version, finish that version rather than inventing another outcome.
| Variant | Message | Source evidence | Change from base | Review decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A: base | Show how setup works | A recorded setup demonstration and explanation | Keep the complete setup passage | Review whether words and visible actions agree. |
| B: alternate opening | Begin with the existing setup question | The same demonstration plus a different recorded opening | Replace only the opening; keep necessary context | Review the join and reject the change if it alters the claim. |
| C: reject | Everyone saves an hour | The recording shows setup but no time-saving evidence | Proposed unsupported outcome | Reject this claim; the demonstration cannot establish it. |
Keep the demonstration beside the explanation
Arrange the supplied close-up or screen recording where it explains the speaker’s point. Keep the setup and qualifications viewers need. Product footage can show an action; it does not automatically prove a claimed benefit for every customer.
Edit and review one base version
Use the uploaded filename for [exact available filename]. Replace both quoted placeholders with words that occur in that file; name the qualification that must survive the cut. Start with a single base edit.
Watch the complete claim with sound. Check complete words, the qualification, caption spelling and the alignment between narration and the product action.
Try a bounded opening change
Replace [actual alternate opening] with an opening already present in the uploaded source. Review the base before requesting this change. A written request is not an automatic version-duplication or batch-variant feature.
Copy and adapt this request after uploading the relevant footage.
Check that the new opening joins naturally and leaves the original claim intact. If the edit cannot select the required source, make a supported timeline correction or keep the reviewed base.
Review each file and record its version
Compare every version with your source ledger. Watch the actual exported MP4, not only the timeline preview. Keep a simple review record outside the editor: filename, intended message, source passage, reviewer and unresolved issue.
- Check names, claims and qualifications in speech and captions.
- Keep required product details visible at the intended viewing size.
- Give different versions distinct filenames and record which was reviewed.
- Rewatch the corrected export after a change.
✖ Editing unverified outcome claims into UGC ads without visual proof.
Why it fails: Creating unsubstantiated claims misleads buyers and damages brand credibility.
✔ Better approach: Cross-reference every voiceover statement against camera evidence in your source ledger.
✖ Swapping opening hooks so aggressively that product context is lost.
Why it fails: Alternate openings without clear context confuse viewers in feed scroll windows.
✔ Better approach: Verify that alternate opening passages establish necessary product setup.
✖ Relying on automatic captioning for brand and product names in ads.
Why it fails: Auto-transcription often mishears unique product names and technical terms.
✔ Better approach: Audit subtitle text directly in Cubix caption controls prior to export.
